Based in Scotland the successful candidate will report to the Site Manager delivering mainly in the UK but also other countries in smoked, cooked or fresh salmon and trouts.

His/Her main mandate will be to contribute to the profitable growth of the business through the development & implementation of strong end-to-end Quality Programs.

He/She will represents the authority in designing, maintaining and continuously improving the Management of Quality.

The Technical Manager will;

Deliver safe products that meet legal requirements as well as company, consumer and customer requirements;

Deliver product quality performances as defined by the market;

Protect their 'chill' brands inclusive of private label brands

The primary role is to manage and provide leadership to the Quality. It includes (but not restricted to);

  1. Product regulation management
  2. Quality Assurance & Quality Control
  3. Food Safety Management Standards
  4. Consumer and Customer Complaints management
  5. Total Costs of Quality

He/She will lead food safety standards such as ISO 9001: 2000, ISO 22000, EFSIS/BRC. IFS, as well as customer-driven QHSE standards. 


10 years total business experience within the food industry

5 years minimum as a Technical Manager (experience of QSM)

Degree in Food Science Technology or Veterinary Sciences

Ideally knowledge of fish farming

Extensive knowledge of Certifications (ISO Lead assessor), HACCP and EC requirements and a proven competency in designing and documenting management systems of QA & QC
